the use of a (rental) car or a bike is recommended. MIMIZAN is situated at 100 km from BORDEAUX, the nearest station to catch a train is Labouheyre and that’s 30km away. However, the Lac d’Aureilhan (for sailing, rowing, swimming, paddling etc..) lays right behind the property it is only a 2 minute walk away through the pine forest. A bike path passes just in front of the property connected to other bike paths heading towards neighbouring villages, the centre of Mimizan, and the beaches. Most of our guests come with their own bikes or hire these locally.
The Atlantic Ocean, with its gorgeous white beaches for sunbathing and the rolling waves for surfing are just 25 minutes away by bike or 15 minutes by car. Mimizan-Plage is the place to be, if you are looking for a variety of bars, restaurants, local markets and boutiques for a more vibrant holiday, vibe and fun.
The nice and interesting 9 holes Mimizan Golf Course offers reasonnable fees and stages to golfers lies right across the property, as well as a great ‘accrobranche’ park at only 400m..
For the essentials, such as supermarkets (eg E.Leclerc, Lidl, Carrefour), gas station, bakeries, post-office, pharmacies, butcher, smaller grocery stores and markets, Mimizan-Bourg has all you need and that’s only a 15 minute bike ride or 10 minutes by car away.
